All Progressives Congress, APC presidential aspirant, Dr. SKC Ogbonnia has blasted the immediate past governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwanso over his remarks that only someone from the three K states of Kano, Kaduna and Katsina could competitively contest the presidential election.
Ogbonnia in a statement also remonstrated with Kwankwanso over his reported plan to leave the APC, saying his tendency was unbecoming of someone of his political pedigree.
Ogbonnia, who is one of about three presidential aspirants contesting the APC’s presidential ticket with President Muhammadu Buhari spoke in reaction to reports that Kwankwanso was bidding the opposing Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to reserve its ticket to any of the K states.

“Senator, that statement is very unfortunate and unpatriotic. The veiled implication is consistent with the primitive convention that presidential power has become the birthright of people from the 3k states, and by extension, Northwest Nigeria. Mr. Kwankwaso, you can agree that Nigeria does not need another ethnic jingoist, as president, so soon after Muhammadu Buhari.
