Citizens should hold govt accountable on promises — CSO

Bauchi—Nigerian Civil Society Desk has asked Nigerian citizens to hold government accountable on implementation of projects, based on promises made to the electorate.

National Coordinator of the organisation, Mr Friday Eleojo, gave the charge, while addressing newsmen at Government House, Bauchi when members of the organisation visited the state to assess the implementation of projects undertaken by the state government in the last three years.

According to him, “the organisation is in Bauchi State as part of our nationwide assessment of projects and programmes being implemented by governments in fulfillment of promises made to the citizens in the course of electioneering campaigns. The exercise commenced from May14 to 20, 2018.”
