Kebbi State House of Assembly members has expressed dismay over the way the state government is handling the coronavirus pandemic and the palliatives distribution in the state.
In a statement signed by the House committee chairman on Information, Hon. Mohammed Tukur Shanga, he said there is no indication that the state government is committed to supporting the people in case of any eventualities.
He went on to add that they are calling on the state government to immediately review the covid-19 taskforce activities in order to curtail the spread of the virus in the state. Shanga stated that paying 2019 leave grant by the state government to staff and calling it palliative to cushion the effects of covid-19 is plain wickedness.
