Overwhelmed with joy following large turnout of supporters to witness the declaration of his interest to vie for the Bende Federal Constituency seat in 2019, Chima Anyaso has promised to facilitate the delivery of unequalled development when elected.

He went on to declare that in terms of passion and experience, he is way ahead of other persons interested in the seat, saying that his outstanding record of selfless service to Bende and indeed Abia state is evident to all.

Speaking to the press, he called on the people of Bende Federal Constituency to judge him by his past and present actions. In his words “those claiming to be qualified for this position should not be judged by their words alone but by their previous actions and record of achievements, if any. It is a fact that you can not give what you do not have. As an individual, I have delivered development to my people singlehandedly. I have an unbeatable and unquestionable passion to serve the people of Bende and this passion is self-motivated; it is not based on any expected personal gains. Go and check my records and my actions, I have carried out development projects in our communities because I know that if you build your community, everyone will be better for it”

In a rather determined voice, he went further “it is proven fact that of all the contenders for this position, I have the best record of individual achievement in terms of community development initiatives and projects, from schools that we have built and donated to the service of indigent students for the past 10 years has been running funded without any external support, to medical outreach programs which has saved many lives in Bende. I have used my resources to serve my people, now it is time for me to combine my resources with the resources of the people to serve Bende. I can assure you that after assuming office as Honorable Member from Bende Federal Constituency, I will continue to commit my personal resources to serve the people of Bende. This is one promise that you the press can hold me accountable for; I have always done it and will keep doing it. Let others who are seeking to occupy the same position show you what they have done for the people of Bende with their personal resources”.

A youth leader from one of the communities in Bende, Ucheya Donatus, who spoke to journalists on the sideline of the press briefing described Chima Anyaso as a gift of God given to Bende, saying “it is the overall believe of majority of Bende people that at a very young age, Chima Anyaso has affected the lives of ordinary people, more than anyone else, including some of those people who say that they are running for House of Representative seat without any records of either personal or community achievements. Chima Anyaso has built schools where children can have free education, free food and all the benefits you can think of. He has singlehandedly equipped hospitals, he has given drugs for free to old people and nursing mothers. He is always here in Bende, visiting everybody. We love him because he is very easy to talk to, he listens and brings people close to himself.

He went further “Some people are talking about zoning. We are not concerned about any zoning, we want someone who can help our people, and Chima Anyaso is the person we are sure will help the youths, the elderly and the sick among us. If he can do it with his personal money, how much more when he has the support of government as our Representative. We want somebody with experience, and Chima Anyaso has good experience as a business man with something tangible to show for it. We don’t want somebody who is looking for where to start making money”.
