Owerri—The traditional ruler of Obollo autonomous community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze Edwin Mbaeyi, has escaped attack by angry youths of his community.

The President-General of the community, Mr. Uche Osuji, confirmed this to Vanguard, yesterday, in Owerri.

Osuji said the problem started as a result of not giving the position of the traditional prime minister to the rightful person.

According to Osuji, “the problem started with the rumour that the position of traditional prime minister has been sold to one Jasper Nwachukwu.

“Our people refused the installation of Nwachukwu as the prime minister, because the position is hereditary and not rotatory. As a result of this, the youths revolted. We know that the rightful owner of the position of the prime minister is Chijioke Njokuocha.”
