Nigeria Police codifies security tips to enhancement safety in Gombe

Gombe – The Nigeria Police has codified security tips to enhance the safety of transporters and residents in Gombe state.

The state Commissioner for Police, Mr. Shina Olukolu disclosed this to journalists on Tuesday, at a press conference in Gombe, the capital of the state.

“We have decided to codify some of the security tips advice and reproduce the emergency telephone numbers that have been severally given to the operators to ensure their safety in the course of dealing with hazards of their trade.

“All these are in addition to other proactive measures already in place. It will also engender a better synergy between the police, operators and government in our collective bid to ensure smooth, safe and satisfactory professional services”, he added.

According to him, the new initiative would help residents of the state to easily access security help in the face of distress.

On their part, the state Chairmen of Keke NAPEP Riders Association of Nigeria, and the Achaba Riders Association of Nigeria thanked the police for its efforts in stamping out crime in the state and pledged their support in a bid to achieve a crime free Gombe state.

In another development, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shina Olukolu paraded bandits that have been terrorizing state at different levels.

He assured residents of police readiness in ensuring that no criminal will go unpunished in the Gombe state.
