The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with Borno State Ministry of Justice, has disengaged 190 members of Civilian JTF, after acquiring skills in entrepreneurship and trade.
The disengaged members, who were drawn from Borno and Yobe states, are affected by decade-long Boko Haram insurgency that claimed many lives and property.
UNDP’s Sub Office Head in Maiduguri, Mizuho Yokoi, disclosed this at the disengagement ceremony held at College of Agriculture, Maiduguri.
According to her, the Civilian JTF members underwent two-week skills acquisition training at College of Agriculture.
She said the disengaged trained members, are also provided with takeoff grant of N180,000 for the applications of their respective acquired skills and trades in communities.
