Akure—NINE days after a couple abducted two children of their landlady, the Ondo State Police Command yesterday accused mother of the children of failing to provide useful information that will aid its investigation.

The Command blamed the mother of the children for making their efforts futile by not knowing the name of the tenants or having any first-hand information of her tenants after they rented the room from her.

Vanguard findings showed that what was of interest to the mother of the children when the couple came looking for a room was the rent they wanted to pay and not details of their identities.

This is coming as the Command paraded seven suspected kidnappers who came from Zuru in Kebbi State.

The suspected kidnappers, who were arrested in Owo town with weapons, however, said that they were on hunting expedition to the southern part of the country.

The Command’s spokesperson, Femi Joseph said that the suspected kidnappers were arrested acting on a tip-off by the people of the community.

On the kidnap of the two children, Joseph described their mother as careless even as he wondered how a landlady would rent out her rooms to unknown tenants.
