Udu youths on the aegis of Ukoko R’ Ighele R’ Urhobo, Udu Kingdom chapter and Udu Youth Council, Delta State have endorsed Mr. Andrew Gbise for the chairmanship seat of Udu Local Government Area of the state in the forthcoming council election.

The youths during the declaration of Gbise at Ward 10, Aladja to contest the election, said the endorsement of Gbise was because they wanted an experienced person who has the youths at heart to be the council chairman.

Mr Sunday Subi, President of Ukoko R’ Ighele R’ Urhobo, Udu Kingdom chapter, who spoke during the declaration ceremony, described Gbise as a round peg in a round hole due to his political pedigree.

Subi explained that Gbise, as a former member of the Delta State Waterways Security Committee and pioneer executive member of UPU Youth Wing, Udu Kingdom chapter, would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of Udu council when elected.

On his part, Mr Edafe Yembra, President of Udu Youth Council, said Gbise as some who served as Secretary and PRO, Aladja Welfare Movement, PRO/Publicity Secretary Aladja Community Council will not disappoint the youths when elected.

“Gbise is a faithful party man, a dogged and fearless politician. He is a prudent politician that will deliver Udu council from the shackles of opposition in 2019 if elected chairman.”

Yembra called on all youths, women, men and political leaders in Udu to support the aspiration of Gbise.
